Doctors in Training
The practice is a training practice and helps with the education of student doctors, newly qualified doctors known as Foundation Year 2 doctors and doctors training to be GPs known as Specialist Trainees (STs). When you make an appointment we aim to tell you if you will be seeing a doctor in training so that you have an opportunity to decide if you are happy to do this. Medical students sometimes sit-in on appointments as part of their training; please advise the doctor if you want the student to leave the consulting room. All student doctors and doctors in training are fully supported and supervised by the regular doctors of the practice. Each year we welcome up to six Foundation Year 2 (FY2) doctors to work with us. They are qualified doctors on placement in general practice to widen their experience.
